FAS HD rear bearing housings are made in America from American-sourced alloy steel, which is much stronger than the stock cast steel of the original parts. These are not made in China, like other similar products available.
FAS housings have about 20% more material around the bearing to help prevent the wallowing out of the bore, which is a common occurrence with the stock parts. The new housings also feature greater material thickness around critical areas of the housing and improved design for bearing removal and tool access.
